Bill Gates Summoned to Testify Before Congress Over Jeffrey Epstein Ties

ill Gates Will Testify Before Congress on Epstein Here’s Everything We Know
The world’s most scrutinized billionaire is heading to Capitol Hill.
Bill Gates, 70, will appear before a congressional committee on June 10 to answer questions about his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. A source close to the matter confirmed the testimony to AFP on Tuesday and the details already on the record make for uncomfortable reading.

Behind closed doors but on the record

Gates won’t be testifying in open session. His appearance is structured as a “transcribed interview” the same closed-door format used for former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. Private, yes. But every word will be documented.

What the documents already reveal
Gates isn’t just a peripheral name in the Epstein files. He appears directly in documents released by the US Justice Department documents that expose close friendships, illicit financial dealings, and private photographs linking some of the world’s most powerful people to Epstein’s network.
In a draft email included in those documents, Epstein made explosive claims about Gates alleging their relationship involved helping Gates obtain drugs and facilitating extramarital affairs with married women.
Gates hasn’t denied the affairs. At a February town hall with staff at the Gates Foundation, he confirmed two relationships one with a Russian bridge player he met at bridge events, another with a Russian nuclear physicist he met through business.
“I did have affairs,” Gates told foundation staff directly. Read More

What Gates admits and what he denies

Gates has been notably candid about some details while drawing a firm line on others.
He acknowledges meeting Epstein from 2011 onward three years after Epstein had already pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution. He knew about an 18-month travel restriction on Epstein at the time. He admits he never checked Epstein’s background. And he confirms his then-wife Melinda raised concerns about the relationship as early as 2013 yet he continued seeing Epstein for at least another year.
But on the central question, Gates is unequivocal.
“I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit,” he told foundation staff.
He has called his decision to associate with Epstein a “huge mistake” and expressed regret that the relationship has cast a shadow over the Gates Foundation’s humanitarian work.
