Peter Attia, a medical influencer and podcast host, has resigned from his post at CBS News after emails linking him to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein appeared in the latest Justice Department file release.
Attia, author of Outlive: The Science & Art of Longevity, was named last month by CBS editor-in-chief Bari Weiss as a contributor to network programming and was featured in a “60 Minutes” profile in October.
After his appointment, hundreds of documents showed Attia’s communications with Epstein. Attia said he did nothing illegal and did not attend Epstein’s sex parties, but he apologized, calling some of his emails “embarrassing, tasteless and indefensible.”
CBS News did not force him to leave, but Attia chose to resign voluntarily, according to reports confirmed by the network.
Attia is among several public figures spanning corporate and government sectors whose past relationships with Epstein have emerged in recent weeks, leading to resignations and public scrutiny.
Valeria Chomsky admits ‘serious errors in judgment’ over Jeffrey Epstein ties

Valeria Chomsky, the wife of Noam Chomsky, has admitted to “serious errors in judgment” after new documents revealed the couple’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein. She said neither she nor her husband witnessed any inappropriate behavior.
“Noam and I recognize the gravity of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes and the profound suffering of his victims,” Valeria Chomsky wrote in a statement to The Associated Press. “Nothing in this statement is intended to minimize that suffering, and we express our unrestricted solidarity with the victims.”
The Justice Department’s latest release shows a more extensive relationship with Epstein than previously known, including a memo suggesting that Chomsky advised Epstein on improving his public image.
Valeria Chomsky explained that she speaks for herself and her 97-year-old husband, who has faced serious health challenges after a stroke in 2023. She described them as naive and uninformed, and cited Chomsky’s “overly trusting nature” as a reason for their mistakes.
According to Valeria, the couple first met Epstein in 2015 and were unaware at the time of his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from an underage girl, despite widespread media coverage of the accusations and allegations that Epstein had paid dozens of underage girls for sex.
